Epimedium wushanense - Spiny Leaf Form

A truly incredible rare form, with amazing evergreen foliage - long, narrow, thick and very spiny, with the new growth a beautiful bronzy red. The long spurred flowers are light yellow, long spurred, and clustered, at leaf level. More than any other Epimedium in our stock bed, this catches the eye of visitors, for foliage alone. It is easy to see the family resemblance to Mahonia with this one. Really incredible. z5, at least.
