Epimedium x versicolor 'Cherry Tart'

A very striking plant. The outfacing flowers have large rounded rose pink sepals and hot pink petals with short spurs that form a short cup with a yellow rim on upright 12” stems. The spring foliage is bronze red, turning purplish in fall and winter. It is a slow spreader that makes a dense evergreen groundcover with time. It is one of the more drought tolerant of the epimediums, as are all the E.x versicolor forms. zone 5 at least.
